Circuit App
App Design, 2024
How to Use App Prototype
It works best to click through the app as you would on your phone rather than using the arrows. Many elements are interactive, so feel free to try clicking around to see what happens! If you are viewing this website on mobile, it is recommended to make the prototype full screen in order to navigate more easily.
Circuit is a news app that informs users of the latest updates and reports in the field of technology. I designed this app in response to the goals and frustrations of a randomly assigned persona. My given persona, Bruce, enjoys staying up-to-date with technology and the ways it can improve his life, so I created an app that would provide relevant information and ensure he can be the first in line to the newest updates. Circuit’s main page features articles from a variety of sources on the latest tech news, split into the user’s selected topics of interest. In articles relating to specific products, a button is provided that links to a page where the product can be viewed and purchased. The Explore page highlights selected news while allowing users to search for specific articles or products. The user’s Profile page provides the option to select favorite topics and view favorite articles, as well as change any relevant settings and preferences.
Assigned Brand Guide
Another requirement for this project was to design the app based on a randomly assigned brand guide created by another student. Provided below is the brand guide I was assigned.
