Cooper Hewitt Publication
Print Design, 2022
The Cooper Hewitt Museum’s collection “Energizing the Everyday” highlights the unique designs of modernist everyday objects from the collection of George R. Kravis II. To feature this exhibit, I created a colorful, visually engaging publication that provides relevant information about the museum. With the theme of “Energizing the Everyday” in mind, I designed a publication that “energizes” the standard of museum publications. I incorporated vibrant colors to complement the artwork and dynamic lines and layouts to create an engaging visual system. Each spread provides relevant information about some of the unique objects in the collection, creating interest and encouraging visitors to explore the exhibit. The fonts and styles were drawn from Cooper Hewitt’s brand guidelines to align the publication with their visual identity.

Process & Ideation
Part of the process for this project was an assignment to come up with 4 different creative, hierarchical layouts for an assigned section of text. Pictured below are the final studies I created.
